Sam's singing talent has been described as natural, raw brilliance!!
The young NZ based, part-Cook Island, Dutch, Kiwi singer has often been
likened to MJ from The Jackson 5 with his strong vocal confidence, powerhouse range and control!
Sam's favourite genre is a blended mix between Pop, Soul and R&B. His musical influences include Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Stevie Wonder, Chris Brown, Ne-yo, Jackson 5, The Beatles, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Beyonce.
The NZ media interest in Sam is rising fast - he has been on National TV many times in the past year. [Several video links posted below]. Not only are the local
NZ music and media industry taking more notice of Sam, he's also hitting radars overseas. And his brand new recorded songs are featuring on theskykid.com radio show.
Sam participated in the World Championship of Performing Arts representing
NZ in Hollywood in 2008. He rocked the junior competition winning 6 gold and 3 silver medals, the prestigious 'Industry Award' and 5 plaques (for overall Junior Champion of the world). See Sam's YouTube channel for some footage of this.
When he's not singing or doing musical theatre, Sam's other biggest passion is rugby. He is a walking encyclopedia on NZ rugby and is a strong supporter of the NZ All Blacks and the Hurricanes!! He plays rugby for Auckland Junior Grammar and Touch Rugby in the summer season.
Sam's top 3 goals are - to sing the National Anthem at an All Blacks game,
to lead the Haka in an All Black game and to play with the All Blacks.
His long term music goal is to achieve a recording deal - and release a successful album. And to make his family proud.

Christmas in the Park: - The "A-List Gig"
I performed my biggest gig yet - the Coca Cola Christmas
in the Park 2009 to 250,000 people. WOW - the biggest
and best gig ever. I performed with Chris, Andrew and
Massad - singing "Santa Claus is Coming to Town". It was
an A-List Night with NZ's A-List performers. A for Awesome.
Battle of the Bands
I recently competed in the Intermediate School Battle of the
Bands with my class band R.E.P. I was rapt to win "Best
Vocalist Award" for the night singing Pinball Wizard.

I recently went to the annual Parachute Festival at Mystery Creek in Hamilton in Jan 2010 and entered the Parachute's Got Talent competition singing 'Who's Lovin You" - here's my journey.
Hannah and I also performed at Life FM at Parachute for half an hour - here's our version of Open Happiness.
We have been into the Recording Studio recently and have several songs finished, with another session booked soon.
And ... finally - we have been working on our new band - yay. We're still looking for a bass player. I can't wait to get going.
